Acetyl Salicylic Acid USP comes as either white crystals, commonly tabular or needle-like, or as white crystalline powder. It can be odorless to havings a faint odor. Acetyl Salicylic Acid is stable in dry air; in moist air it gradually hydrolyzes to salicylic and acetic acids. It is slightly hygroscopic.
